I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to ask for your support on behalf of a friend, Carolyn Cole. On March 24th Carolyn went into the hospital for a routine outpatient procedure. While doing this procedure the doctor found a tumor the size of a golf ball. It was a surprise to all since she had a bunch of imaging prior to this procedure and it didn’t show on any of them. An oncology doctor was called in and biopsies were taken. Carolyn was admitted to the hospital and a few days later it was confirmed that she had a rare form of cervical cancer.

The oncology team has put a plan in place for treatment. She will have 7 weeks of radiation therapy (5 times a week) along with some chemo and immunotherapy added in. Prior to the procedure Carolyn was in terrible pain which became worse after the biopsies aggravated the tumor. Due to this Carolyn was put on some strong pain medication. Because of the side effects of the medication, she is unable to drive.

As you can imagine, this journey will be tough, physically, mentally and financially. Carolyn is in need of help to cover essential costs related to her treatment, especially transportation to and from medical appointments. Any donation, no matter the size, would make a real difference and help ease some of the burdens she is facing right now.
