Help Carolyn Lift Up a Family in Need this Holiday Season

My name is Carolyn and I live in New York City.

My recipient for this Go Fund Me is a single Mom of 3 who was laid off last year and has been working full time to find gainful employment. She lives in North Carolina and has applied for over 2,000 positions in her field- meanwhile, taking any job that puts food on the table and the lights on. She is exhausted, demoralized and revealed that she just can't have Christmas this year, because rent takes precedence.

Though she remains anonymous here to maintain privacy for her children, I'm offering one of my 5 Star, Cocktail/ Mocktail classes FREE to anyone who makes a donation of any amount. We will all gather on Zoom after the holidays, make fabulous cocktails/mocktails, and chat with my recipient who will be SO happy to meet you. You do not have to attend- but you WILL be invited if you donate any amount to the cause. What fun we will have-truly a celebration of good will and peace on earth to all people.

Every year at this time, as I start to feel burdened by responsibilities or financial challenges, I'm directly confronted with someone else's real life crisis. It provides valuable perspective. So many of us are very lucky, really- and giving to someone who is going through a rough patch is a way to expand our gratitude in a meaningful way.

Somewhat by chance, I've found myself organizing GoFundMe campaigns at holiday time. Once, we replaced a motorized wheelchair for a person whose insurance wouldn't cover it. Last year we raised money for medical expenses for a woman with ovarian cancer who was close to being evicted from her apartment. This year, this new recipient came across my path, and I feel compelled to act.

Let's help this brave Mama catch up on her rent, and maybe have a little something under the tree for Christmas 2024.
