Help Carolyn and her canine angel relocate to MA!

Hi, Carolyn here. I’m trying to raise funds to help with my abrupt relocation to Massachusetts to live with my family and get the proper care for my mental and physical health. It’s been 12 lovely years in Seattle, but circumstances have changed and I’m asking for your help.

My physical health has been on the wane since July 2020, which I now know is connected to a positive Lupus screening I received last month. The ongoing pain and debilitation coupled with the already tenuous grasp I had on my mental health led me to seek employment that offered health care coverage. Through my job as a lab assistant at a biotech firm I was granted access to slightly more affordable medical care, but unfortunately not a living wage. The cost of living here is high and my salary was low – the situation became untenable, and I’ve found it’s impossible to dig myself out by myself.

I simply cannot afford to live here anymore and need as much help as possible to fund Isis’ and my trek across the country. When we settle, I am determined to get my physical and mental health in treated so I can be by best energizer-bunny self I always was before the onset of this painful autoimmune illness back in July 2020.

These donations will help pay for my medical bills (that health insurance only went so far!) as well as the move itself. I’ve been in housing and financial crisis several times in the twelve years since moving here and I was too afraid to ask for help. But I can’t do it alone this time. I do need help, badly.
