Help Caroline Continue Her Artistic Passion
Donation protected
Hi everyone! My name is Caroline Amaral Zaltron. I am from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. I am a Costume Designer and Technician working in the States. I moved to the US in 2021 to pursue my graduate studies in costume design. Since graduating last year, I have been working freelance and as a teaching artist in high school and college environments. It is a passion of mine to help young artists find their voices in their craft. I have had several opportunities to connect with growing artists over the past few years working in educational theatre.
After graduating, I had a year to work with my current visa and it is time to apply for a new one. With the increase in prices and processing time due to the influx of visa applications, there is a large unexpected cost for expediting a visa. Last year, I applied for my current visa without the expediting fee and the process took 4 weeks longer than Immigration Services initially stated.
I am asking for $6,500 as it covers lawyer, visa, expediting, and other necessary fees. The visa I am applying for is a Specialized, 3-year Artist Focused visa. This visa will allow me to continue working as a Costume Designer and as an educational theatre artisan. I have worked hard to get into the position I am in and want to continue to pursue my passions. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
