Hi everyone,

It hurts to write this, but Caroline and I came home from vacation this past weekend to find our home broken into and burglarized. Thousands of dollars worth of items were stolen, which included my road bike and several family heirlooms we can never replace.

We’ve been hit with really bad luck over the last two years. Days after closing on our condo, we incurred major water damage that forced us to live in an Airbnb for four months while repairs were done. From there, I had a bike stolen from my locked shed in the building’s common garage. Fast forward to a year after that, more water damage. This burglary has really been the unfortunately icing on the cake of the last 24+ months.

Those incidents required us to file insurance claims and unfortunately due to that claims history, we’re unable to submit another claim for this burglary. We’ve also been inundated with other large, unexpected expenses so the timing of this is extremely poor. We live in a nice part of LA and I’m constantly wondering what we did to deserve this.

We started this GoFundMe as a way to ask friends and family for assistance. Anything and everything will help soften this blow. I’m not one to typically ask for help, but we’re in desperate need right now.

Our plan is to use your donations to repair the glass door that was shattered to enter our home as well as replace some of the items that were stolen.
