My name is Jacqueline Wyman and I am the sister in law of Yenny Carolina Arboleda. On October 20, Carolina was detained by ICE in New York. She has been in jail since. Obviously this has been devastating for the family and her friends who all love her dearly. Carolina is and has been in process for her green card. She is married to an American citizen and has two kids who are green card holders. She has never been arrested for anything in her life. She is active in the church and in the community. She pays taxes. She is trying to do everything right. From a personal perspective, she is the best aunt I could ever ask for for my daughter Willow and the best sister to my husband. She is the type of person that you call her and she is there without questions asked. She has been detained for over a week and it has been hell for her and all who know her. I am asking for financial support to help cover costs of lawyer/legal fees, monthly bills that are needing to be paid without her income, and immigration bail bond.
Breakdown of costs thus far not including day to day bills that we are all trying to help her husband and kids pay without her income:
-Initial lawyer fees were $4,000 which will continue to grow.
-Immigration bail bond projected to be $5k-$15k. Hearing is on 11/5/2025
Her whole family and community is trying their damnedest to raise funds to cover all of the unexpected costs. Any little bit will help the family worry less about the financial burden of all this unexpected, gut wrenching chaos.
We thank you all for considering contributing and for continuing to pray for Carolina and her family AND spread the word. She is not a criminal. She is trying to do the right thing and be here with her family in the United States.
