I’m Carole, and I’m a school teacher who never expected to be in this position. Because I don’t get paid during the summer months, I usually plan carefully to make it through until the school year begins again. This summer, though, I was hospitalized for most of it, and everything changed. Along with trying to recover, I’m now facing a heavy stack of medical bills on top of my regular household expenses. It has been overwhelming to carry all of this at once, especially after being unable to work during the months when I already don’t receive a paycheck.

The support from this fundraiser will help me catch up on the bills that have piled up while I’ve been out. Specifically, it will go toward paying down my medical bills, covering my house note and car note, and fixing the AC that went out while I was in the hospital. I’m a very independent person and I don’t typically ask others for help, so this is not easy for me to do. But right now, any amount would truly make a difference and help me get back on my feet.
