Help Carol with Medical Expenses

Hello my name is Brittani Dancer-Gosey and I am requesting Financial support from our community for my mother Carol Hill-Dancer.

On Monday July 5th, she was in her kitchen cooking greens in her pressure cooker.

She turned the stove burner off under the pressure cooker and waited for the red button indicator to relieve, the button releasing sign that shows it’s safe to remove the lid, but as soon as she opened the pot it exploded. The explosion caused 2nd degree burns to her face, neck, shoulder, chest, and left arm. She was taken by ambulance to Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX, where she had to have emergency surgery due to the severity of her burns. Following surgery, she was required to stay hospitalized for observation for 3 days. Upon being released, she still requires ongoing daily medical assistance putting on her prescribed burn cream (bacitracin zinc ointment) as well as assistance with daily routine tasks.

She is a self-employed hair stylist and although she has private insurance, her insurance is not covering all of her medical expenses and due to the severity of her injuries she is currently unable to work.

I am asking for help during this trying time for my mother. Her household and medical bills are starting to add up due to her burn injuries and not yet being cleared by her doctor to return to work.
