Carol is the most amazing person who has faced so many difficult trials in life, yet she always finds a way to give to others. No matter what she’s going through, she’s the first to offer help—sometimes literally giving the clothes off her back. She’s known for hiring people in need and paying them out of her own limited income, just to help them get back on their feet. If you know Carol, chances are she’s helped you or someone you care about.
After dealing with an open wound on her foot for over 20 years, Carol recently battled a serious set of infections, and the outcome was to have a lower leg amputation. Living alone, she’s now facing a whole new set of challenges. She had to have a ramp built to access her home, and because she lives in a mobile park, she also needs a wall replaced to install a safety bar in her bathroom. On top of that, she’s had to purchase special equipment for bed transfers and daily living. Just yesterday, Carol was alone and fell, needing to call the fire department for help.
Through it all, Carol has kept her spirits high and her sense of humor intact. Donations to this fundraiser will go directly toward the work Carol needs done on her house—like the ramp, rails, and wall repairs—as well as hiring some help around the house until she’s strong enough to do more on her own. There is probably not one person reading this who knows Carol whom she hasn’t helped in some way. Your support now would mean the world to her as she faces this difficult recovery.
