Carol Guthrie is my grandmother, and she recently experienced a devastating loss when an electrical fire started in the walls of her home. The fire quickly spread, leaving the house uninhabitable and most of her belongings damaged or destroyed. This home was especially meaningful to Carol—it had been in our family since 1900 and was filled with precious memories. After losing her daughter and three of her grandchildren, all of whom grew up in this house, Carol moved in to find comfort and connection to her loved ones.

Now, with the fire taking so much away, Carol is facing the challenge of rebuilding her life once again. The funds raised will go toward replacing essentials—like clothing, toiletries, and basic household items—while she waits for insurance to process. There are also significant costs for cleanup and repairs that will need to be addressed down the road. Every bit of support will help Carol take steps toward recovery and bring some comfort during this incredibly difficult time.
