Carol Humbert passed away on March 18, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with COPD and heart issues. Throughout her life, she raised 73 foster children and adopted 14, giving each one a loving home and a chance at a brighter future. Her generosity and compassion touched countless lives, and her legacy is one of kindness and selflessness. Unfortunately, mistakes were made with her will, and all death benefits were not appointed. As a result, all benefits went into probate along with her estate, which is now upside down and unable to recover any funds. My sister and I have endured the cost of all the burial expenses ourselves, and it has been a heavy burden during an already difficult time.
Mom had a huge heart, and if you knew her, you knew how special she was. A person of this caliber deserves to rest in peace, and we want to honor her memory in the best way possible. The funds raised will help cover funeral and burial fees, outstanding bills, and assist with the cost of caring for my handicap sister, who depended on our mother for everything. My mother was my handicap sister's world, and now I find myself trying to care for her as my mother did, but nobody can take mom's place. My sister requires clothes and full-time care, and I myself am disabled and now a full-time caregiver. Anything anyone can find in their hearts to help us out would be a blessing and very much needed. Bless you all.
