Good afternoon everyone.

Many of you have heard, my grandparents Carol & Dean Sims have lost their home due to a terrible house fire Saturday night, and thank God my grandfather made it out. A home that was theirs for close to 40 years is now gone, crumbled to smoky ashes and still burning as I type this.

My family has faced trials and tribulations since I can remember. My house caught fire and burned up maybe 7 years ago. My aunt and great-grandparents' homes both caught fire at the same time and burned to the ground 3 years ago. We have faced many heartbreaking, disastrous, and humbling experiences. But we’re still here, as a family.

The fire moved too quickly to save anything, but family and friends moved just as quickly, making it to the sides of my grandparents to let them know they weren’t alone.

We have never asked for anything really throughout our hardships other than prayers, but now I am asking for help for my grandparents Dean & Carol Sims.

Anyone who knows my grandparents knows the special souls they are, hearts of gold, and a class of humans we are sadly losing as the years roll on.

My grandparents have always been superheroes in my eyes, the ones you see on TV.

Anything anyone has ever needed, they have given. Any call they have ever received, they are the first ones there and the last ones out. You needed food, they had it. You needed a bed and shower, they supplied it.

They have raised so many of us kids and supported so many others. I am willing to bet a majority of people reading this right now have been on the receiving end of the blessings they have given in this world.

I know it’s close to Christmas, and times are hard for every single one of us. I’m still asking for help for my grandparents. My grandmother's bank account will be attached to this crowdfund. Anything given will help them with trying to rebuild their home, and the financial headaches that come with all of this. I just want to give them everything they deserve.

My cousin is raising money for them also, so if you have donated or helped in any way, thank you.

Any amount or anything given is a blessing for them in this time of need. They have lost it all; the memories, the heirlooms, the pictures, the clothes, the essentials, they have lost everything, most importantly their safe place they called home.
