Carol is a dedicated student from Honduras who has just completed her first year at Westminster Christian Academy in the United States. I have known Carol since she was a little girl through my volunteer work with our Rotary Club, and I have seen firsthand her commitment to her education and her community. Thanks to her hard work and the support of a Rotary Club friend, Carol was able to learn English at her school in Honduras, which has helped her thrive both academically and socially in her new environment. She has made many friends, maintained strong grades, and shown a remarkable dedication to her studies.

Carol’s dream is to continue her education at Westminster Christian Academy for the next three years, with the hope of eventually earning a scholarship to attend college in the United States. She wants to be a neurologist one day! The funds raised through this fundraiser will go directly toward covering her tuition, books, school supplies, and travel needs for the remainder of her high school education. Carol is fortunate to have a host family providing her with a loving home, so living expenses are not needed. We also hope to raise enough to help cover the cost of flights for her mother to visit her from Honduras once or twice a year, so they can stay connected during this important time in Carol’s life. She will need funds to fly home in the summers, and back for school as well.
