Help Carol Berndt Beat Cancer

On 3/15/22 Carol Berndt had emergency surgery for a perforated bowel that would turn out to be colon cancer. Carol was in the hospital for 8 days and is now home but has a long road for recovery. After a CT scan and a MRI, they found that it has spread to the liver and a few smaller spots on her left scapula, and a few spots on the brain. On 3/28 Carol had what is called a gamma knife to the two spots that were on her brain. The doctor originally thought there was three but found out that the third one would not need to be treated. At the end of May she will go back to see how the treatment did on the spots. Mom has a great team of doctors on her and are doing what needs to be done at the moment.
