My name is Carol Starling and I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma following a battle with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2022. Since my treatment, I have been unable to maintain a consistent work schedule and have very little income to cover my living expenses. I will be having an autologous stem cell transplant that will require me to isolate for 3-4 months. Unfortunately, this transplant has been significantly postponed due to several other health crises this year. Consequently, I am trying to live solely off of Social Security Income and need as much help as I can possibly muster.
Previous to my diagnosis, I enjoyed a very active lifestyle. I am 75 years old. I pride myself on being self-sufficient and making my own way which is why it is hard for me to ask for help right now.
I know that we are all experiencing difficult times on some level with what’s happening globally. So, if you have read this far, thank you for taking the time and for letting me share my story. At the very least, I hope that I can remain in your thoughts and prayers for the months to come. Thank you.
