My name is Carol Ann Holly. In 2025 I was supposed to start a new job but after I quit my previous job the company decided not to fill the position. So, I suddenly didn't have a job. It took about 4 months for me to find another job. It was for much less than I was making in my previous job. I worked there for about 8 months. I loved the job, but the owner has some mental issues. She did and said really crazy things to me. She threatened to murder me and bury me in the desert if I got a different job. I tried to convince her I wasn't looking for another job. She said she would shove my face in the snow if I gave her notice that I was leaving. Finally, she decided I had found another job, so she fired me. That was 3 months ago. I have had a lot of interviews but no offers.

I have some limitations on the kind of work I can do. I have very bad arthritis in my back. I have to have a job that doesn't require standing for any length of time. Otherwise, I would be in excruciating pain.

I am 72. My husband died in 2021, and I moved to be closer to my son and his family. Since the move and besides the job lost, I have had a lot of financial problems. The water heater went out. I have had multiple plumbing problems such as the basement flooding, the bathtub leaking into the basement and the pipes freezing and bursting. My neighbors' trees have falling on my fence, and they refused to help repair the fence. This happened more than once. I have had four surgeries as well. My dog has been sick, and I can't take him to the vet.

I do think I will find another job soon, but I am very far behind on the gas, electric and water that I might be without water or lights. I need to make a mortgage payment to avoid foreclosure. I just need some help to get back on my feet.
