Help Carol Compton Turner for medical expenses

Donation protected

Hello, my name is Becky Compton Kurth.
My siblings, Stephen Compton, Esther Compton Thiem, Elizabeth Compton Breckley and I are reaching out to you with a humble request for support.

Our beloved sister Carol Compton Turner is currently in a Hospital ICU in British Columbia, Canada, facing severe medical challenges that require ongoing treatment for Heart, Kidney and Diabetes complications. The Doctor's and Nurses have been awesome with Carol while she is fighting for her life. Carol's path to recovery will involve not only extensive medical care in the ICU but she will have a time in the hospital room before the Doctor's send her to a Rehabilitation facility. Your donation will help with uncovered costs that Carol and Bruce will have.

During this incredibly difficult time, Carol’s husband, Bruce, and their family are enduring significant financial and emotional strain. Two of their daughters have had to take time off from their hourly-paid jobs to be by their mother’s side and support their father. The long commute—two hours each way—adds substantial costs for gas, food, and cell phone usage, on top of the lost wages to meet monthly rent and expenses. They are looking into moving Bruce and family closer to the Hospital so they are closer to Carol. Another daughter has traveled from Washington State to Canada to help support Carol, Bruce and family during this time of need.

Please send well wishes and memories to be read to Carol. We want her to remember that we are all praying for her and encourage her to continue to fight for her life.

As Carol and Bruce navigate this crisis, they need our support more than ever.

Your contributions will help cover:

Uncovered Medical treatments and durable medical supplies.
Travel expenses, including gas and food for family to drive 2 hours from home to support Carol while she is in the hospital.
International Cell phone service to keep family members in the USA and Canada informed.
Moving costs to get Bruce and family closer to the hospital where Carol is.
The lost wages of Carol’s daughters to meet their expenses while assisting their Dad to travel to the Hospital to support their Mom.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference and help ease the burden on Carol and her family. We are incredibly grateful for any support you can provide during this challenging time.

Please keep Carol, Bruce and family in your thoughts and prayers. If you’re able to help, you can make a donation through this Gofundme page.

Carol and Bruce Turner's Life Story:

Many of you know Carol and Bruce Turner's life story. But many of you haven't seen them in a great while. I'll try to be brief, but by knowing them you would know they would be the first to step up and help anyone they could.

After the loss of her first husband and father to a boating accident, Carol, a young single mother went to college to become a nurse. As a Registered Nurse she served in Hospitals in the USA and Canada including the Neonatal Unit, Assisted Living Facilities, and lastly at a Veteran's Hospital. Carol and Bruce served their community in Canada by having a small private school at their church while raising their five children.

Bruce was a Construction/Builder from Canada who became a Missionary that took his family from California to Oklahoma and back to his home Country of Canada while continuing to run a small Construction company. Bruce has faced serious medical issues for the last four years. While he is still receiving treatments, we give thanks that these treatments are currently keeping his health steady. Yesterday he told me he couldn't go 70 mph anymore.

Being in their mid to late 70s, the toll of time and these professions have caught up and surpassed them by presenting serious health issues.

All funds will be transferred directly to them or distributed to them from my home location in Wisconsin.

Your generosity and compassion are deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your prayers, love and support during this time.
