I love my dog Carmen more than I know how to say, and right now watching her struggle is breaking my heart.

She’s been with me almost two years. She’s always been insecure and fearful of other people, but she was getting better for a while. Lately she’s regressed a lot. Her anxiety medication isn’t working the same anymore, even after increasing the dose. She’s withdrawn into the bedroom, guards the bed, doesn’t want to walk, and gets stressed outside. She’s more fearful and on edge than she used to be.

I don’t want to give up on her, but I don’t have the capacity or money for the intensive help she needs right now.

I’m raising funds for a 4-week board-and-train program. She’ll live in a real home with a couple other dogs, get positive reinforcement training, and I’ll receive regular updates and videos. When she comes home the trainer works with me, provides follow-ups, and offers lifetime support.

Carmen is only 3.5. I still believe she can feel safer again… she just needs the right help. Any amount helps.
