Help Carmen Keep Her Home & Business
Hello, and thank you for visiting. My name is Carmen and I am asking for your help and donations. My son and I are currently facing losing our home of 12 years. We were late on a few years of our HOA's dues, and even though we have kept up with the mortgage with the bank, the HOA and their lawyers are putting us through the ringer and we are in danger of losing everything. A recent foot injury has added medical expenses made me unable to even work for most of the month.
Things took a financial downturn after being laid-off and not finding a decent paying job. Then the 2020 covid situation and made a tough situation more difficult. I currently work two jobs as a cashier in retail and as the owner/seamstress of a small Etsy shop, single handedly making quite nice doll clothes for collectors and children alike. However the world of retail does not pay a decent wage and the money earned from the Etsy store isn't consistent. Pairing these with my foot injury that's prevented me from effectively working either job for a few weeks, I am in a rough spot right now. No one deserves to live under such stress.
The goal is $15,000, which will go towards covering the H.O.A.'s bill, help cover the medical expenses and lost wages from her job and Etsy business, and most importantly, keep her home and not be homeless in this Covid-19 pandemic.
