Help Carmen Fight for Her Life Against Stage 4 Cancer
For: Carmen Keogh, Age 33

Diagnosis: Stage 4C Metastatic Melanoma
 Goal: $90,000

She’s 33. Brave, determined and in the fight of her life.
Carmen was living a full life — working hard, showing up for others, and holding close to the quiet hope of building a future filled with meaning, love, and one day, a family of her own.

Growing up, Carmen experienced the unimaginable — the loss of her mother at a young age, leaving her father to raise her and her sisters on his own. Despite the hardship, Carmen learned early what truly matters: the value of love, the power of perseverance, and the quiet resilience it takes to keep going when the world feels heavy.
That strength would become her anchor — and now, it's what she’s drawing on in the biggest battle of her life.

The Diagnosis That Changed Everything
On December 9, 2024, Carmen was diagnosed with Stage 4C Metastatic Melanoma — an aggressive and life-threatening cancer that had already spread throughout her body, including her bones.
Since then, every day has been a fight — one she’s faced with bravery, grace, and unwavering determination.

The Road So Far
Carmen began immunotherapy in December 2024, enduring five intense rounds. When the cancer progressed, she was switched to targeted therapy in April 2025 — her second and only remaining approved option.
Just two weeks in, Carmen began experiencing rare and frightening side effects — persistent tingling in her arms and legs, possibly an allergic reaction. Her treatment was adjusted to a 5-days-on, 5-days-off cycle, which she’s managing — for now.
While Carmen has seen improvement and holding this win close to her heart, her body can become resistant to the treatment at any time, if that happens, her last option will be experimental clinical trials — most of which are costly and out of reach without urgent support.

The Cost of Survival
Fighting cancer is hard enough — but fighting to afford to stay alive is an impossible weight.
Carmen’s hope lies in alternative treatments and clinical trials, which come at a devastating cost: $70,000 to $90,000 — none of it covered by insurance or government funding.
She’s still working full-time, managing endless appointments, and pushing through overwhelming fatigue however she can’t do this alone anymore.

Her Hope for the Future
Through everything, Carmen has held onto one quiet but powerful hope — to build a future filled with purpose and connection, and one day, to have the chance to raise a family of her own. Now we want to help her hold on to it.
