I am raising money my dear friend Carmen and her husband Doug, who are facing an unimaginable and heartbreaking situation. Recently, her husband suffered a sudden stroke, and during his medical evaluations, doctors discovered that he is also battling lung cancer that has metastasized, with tumors in his brain and spine. What was already a terrifying emergency has now become a life-changing fight on multiple fronts.
The emotional and financial strain on their family is overwhelming as they navigate hospital stays, treatments, therapies, and the uncertainty ahead.
Any amount you can give will make a meaningful difference, and even sharing this page helps more than you know. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and prayers.
Thank you Kimberley

There is more to this story and will keep updating it as the days go.
I am going to share a little bit of what Carmen has written:
*************
Everything changed on the morning of September 22, 2025.
That morning I came downstairs for work, I noticed Doug’s belongings scattered across the floor, the refrigerator open, and the back door unlocked. Something felt terribly wrong. I called him, he answered but seemed confused. I checked the Ford app on my phone and saw that a collision had been reported. I called him again—he insisted he was fine and trying to get to work, but I could see on the app that he was stuck. I drove out to find him and rushed him to St. Anthony North Hospital.
As I pulled up to the ER entrance, a police officer called asking about the vehicle—Doug had unknowingly been involved in a hit-and-run because he was not mentally aware of what was happening.
At the hospital, our lives changed in an instant.
