Help Carmen and Chris Through Tough Times

We are Carmen and Chris. We have been together for 7 years, married for 4, and have 2 wonderful four-legged babies, Ein (8yo) and Rocky (2yo). We're in the midst of surviving through what seems to be the hardest years of our lives yet. Between illness, death of a parent, injury and recovery we have not gotten a break. We thought we were approaching a light at the end of the tunnel with the offer of an incredible new research position in MD, which was retracted. Our plan B, for me to start as a postdoc, was also cancelled due to interagency funding cuts and HR freezes. We moved to MD but the job market is so saturated and funding cuts have resulted in positions we have applied to, and several we interviewed for, either being completely dissolved or filled by internal hires.

We have some money that has been made doing some temporary jobs, and Carmen has been able to secure a part time job at Wegmans which is starting the beginning of next month (yay!).

So we are here again, asking for help to cover:

-$3,400 rent

-$700 car payment and utilities

-miscellaneous for various medical and psychiatric care
