Help Carly Through Recovery After a Horse Riding Accident ❤️

I never imagined I would find myself writing this, but sometimes life puts us in a position where we have to humble ourselves and ask for help.

I am Carly Jean Orr, owner and operator of Moses Meadows Equine Services, and transporting horses is not only my passion is my sole source of income and how I support myself and pay my bills.

Recently, I was involved in a horse riding accident that left me injured and facing 6+ weeks away from work while I recover.

I am extremely thankful that things were not worse, and I am especially grateful that my driving leg was not the leg injured. That is a huge blessing considering the work I do. However, my mobility will be limited, and after one short haul I have scheduled next week with help I will need to step away from hauling and give my body the time it needs to heal.

Being self-employed means that when I cannot work, there is no paycheck coming in. Unfortunately, I do not have disability insurance or insurance that provides an income during a situation like this. Meanwhile, my everyday bills, living expenses, medical expenses and business expenses continue.

This is going to be a difficult season for me financially, physically and emotionally.

I am someone who is used to being active, working hard, traveling, hauling horses and constantly being on the go. Having to suddenly slow down and depend on others is a challenge for me in more ways than one.

I am not one to ask for help. I have always worked hard for what I have and have always tried to take care of myself and the people around me. But right now, I have limited options and resources, and I am asking my community to help me get through this unexpected time.

Funds raised will help me with essential living expenses, monthly bills, groceries, medical and recovery related expenses, and ongoing business and vehicle expenses while I am unable to work.

Most importantly, I want to say how incredibly grateful I am for my honey, Lance Tissidimit, my son Mane Rider Pakootas , and every person who has stepped up to help take care of me. ❤️

You have helped with my daily living, made sure I am comfortable and well taken care of, lifted my spirits when I need it most, and reminded me that I am surrounded by people who love me.

Lance, Mane, and everyone who has been there for me I love and appreciate each and every one of you more than words can express. ❤️
