Carlos Eduardo Díaz Suarez, known to many as Yayo, is the heart and soul behind Beba's Gourmet, a beloved Venezuelan food trailer in our community. On February 8th, while stopped at a light in Zephyrhills, FL with his wife and daughter, Carlos was rear-ended by a driver with a suspended license. The accident totaled his food trailer and left his family in physical therapy for whiplash. To make matters worse, the insurance situation is complicated, and Carlos’s business has come to a halt.

Carlos is more than just a business owner—he’s the friend who drives four hours into the forest in the middle of the night to rescue you, refusing to take a single dollar for gas. He’s the one who makes sure everyone else has eaten before he even sits down, and at my events, he literally chases me around to make sure I eat because he knows I forget to take care of myself when I’m working. He’s the guy who helps you move, checks in on your kids, and is always the first to show up when you send an S.O.S. Now, he’s the one who needs an S.O.S. answered.

The funds from this campaign will help Carlos get back on his feet. They will cover the down payment for a new, fully permitted food trailer so he can return to his regular schedule of three events per week. This is the only way to replace his lost income and keep his family afloat while the legal case with the unlicensed driver is resolved.
