Help Carlos with mother's funeral expenses

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I am asking for your help to contribute what you can to support Carlos Rivas with funeral expenses for his mother, Antonia Zambrano. She sadly and unexpectedly passed away on Christmas eve from complications due to multiple health conditions. Carlos has dedicated his career as an educator to supporting underrepresented students in their pursuit of higher education, and now is the time where he needs our help. 

Carlos was the primary financial support and caregiver for his mother since she stopped working in 2014 for health reasons. He would never complain about it, but he put many plans on hold and sacrificed a lot to ensure that she had proper care.  As we all know, end-of-life expenses can be very high, and he needs a village to help defray those costs.

During this difficult time, we are reaching out to the community for help. Please consider donating if you can, as any amount will truly help to meet our $5,000 goal. It would mean a lot if you could share this fundraiser with your network.
