Help Carlos Fight his Medical Battle

When Carlos checked into the hospital on January 4th, the doctor told him that he would only be there 4-5 hours. He was relieved because he didn't want his family to worry about him. Unfortunately, almost four months have passed and Carlos still hasn't been able to go home.

Carlos had a dangerous combination of Covid and Pneumonia and his condition worsened fast as his lungs became incredibly weak. After he was intubated, the medical staff had no choice but to put Carlos in a coma on January 14th. The hospital called the family on January 27th and let them know that his vitals weren't good and he might not make it through the night. The family came to the hospital in what they thought would be the last time they saw Carlos. By the grace of GOD, Carlos made it through the night but continued to be in a coma for another 5 weeks until March 3rd when he finally opened his eyes. The only thing Carlos remembers during his coma  is someone standing in the doorway saying "is he already dead?" Carlos and Veronica have gotten really close to GOD over the last eight years and his daughter Patricia says that GOD has chosen her dad to be the warrior for the family because he is the strongest one and can battle through it.

Carlos has worked his entire life to support his wife, Veronica  and his three kids, Patricia, Diego and Yesenia.  He also has two grandchildren and one on the way. Carlos became a United States citizen over ten years ago in search of the American dream. He has been in the cable manufacturing business for over 30 years with his wife Veronica. It's well known that there are few people who have more knowledge and experience in the cable industry than the two of them. Besides the fact that they're dedicated and honest workers, they're wonderful people.

Carlos recently got a tracheotomy and he is doing occupational and respiratory therapy. He is still on a ventilator but the doctor is hoping to wean him off slowly. He can't talk yet but he understands and has an iPad for video calls. The family says it's a miracle that he's still alive and they're grateful every day that he's with them.

As you can imagine, the medical bills have piled up for the family and our hope is that we can help them get through this financially difficult time.  We would love to give something back to Carlos and his family as they have given so much to so many people.
