Carlos Showers was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He is undergoing chemotherapy and is fighting hard. Such a diagnosis brings great financial and emotional hardship for the family and this fund is established to assist with Carlos’ medical bills and associated expenses.
Carlos and his wife Sheila have been active members of our community. Carlos has been a Town of Black Mountain Alderman since 2009. His time and leadership has been a blessing for our town. Carlos is a retired social worker and his wife Sheila was a teacher.
We have no idea what the many expenses may be and therefore we chose an arbitrary goal amount. (A monetary goal is required to establish a GoFundMe page). Any amount given will be greatly appreciated by the Showers.
