Carlos Silva was diagnosed with kidney cancer this past November. In December he had surgery but is still under medical care and needs to do more testing to understand what else can be done to help. him. Unfortunately, his insurance won't cover the additional tests needed and he has been out of work since his diagnosis and surgery. There is a fundraiser dinner happening in October to help support him and his family during this difficult time, but he currently needs to have 2 scans that are very costly but necessary and insurance will not cover the cost.
