Our family is going through one of the hardest moments of our lives. After months of fighting, Carlos’s cancellation of removal was denied, and he now has to leave the United States under voluntary departure. This was not the outcome we hoped or prepared for, and we are devastated.

Carlos will be leaving with nothing — no savings, no support system in Mexico, and very serious medical conditions that make this entire situation dangerous. He has Type 1 diabetes, permanent vision loss in one eye caused by medical neglect while in custody, and ongoing health complications that require medication and consistent monitoring. Sending him back alone puts him in a vulnerable and risky situation.

We are raising funds to help Carlos safely return to Mexico, secure immediate shelter, cover medication costs, obtain insulin and medical supplies, purchase food, and help him set up basic essentials so he is not left abandoned in a country he hasn’t lived in.

Every dollar will help Carlos survive, stay safe, and give us a chance to bring him back the right way, legally and with dignity.
