Help Carlos and Matthew After Losing Everything in the Altadena Fire

Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Strangers,

My name is Michael, and I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend/family member, Carlos and Brother Mathew who has been struck by an unimaginable tragedy. On January 8th 2025, the devastating Altadena Fire tore through their neighborhood, leaving their home reduced to ashes and their life turned upside down.

In the blink of an eye, Carlos lost their house and every personal belonging they held dear — cherished family photos, meaningful keepsakes, clothes, and everyday essentials. While they are safe, the weight of starting over from scratch is overwhelming.

Carlos is my step father, a loving parent to my brother and 2 other children, He has always been the first to lend a helping hand to those in need, and now they find themselves in need of support.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward helping Carlos get back on their feet. Immediate needs include:

• Temporary housing

• Clothing and daily essentials

• Rebuilding their life, starting with replacing crucial items like furniture, appliances, and school/work supplies
