Help Carlos Rebuild After Life-Altering Trials

Hey everyone, this is Carlos (Big Los, Coach Max, Police officer, Veteran, however you know me)... I'm coming to you with some heartfelt news and a very tough situation.

(It's been the most physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually challenging trial of my life.)

Since June of 2024, when we were heading back to Florida from Minnesota...

(ROUND 1)

Started off with me getting rear-ended by a hit-and-run driver in the middle of a rainy night... BAMMM... car's totaled and I got tore up but survived... shoulder, neck, back, and foot... and outta work for the longest period of my adult life. No gym time (and y'all know I'm all about the gym). Now I'm starting to recover. I'm putting everything back in place. Interviews, getting back to the gym slowly.

(ROUND 2)...

I had broken the second toe on my left foot and an infection creeps in... like really? Go to the VA (oh yeah, God Bless the VA)... and my little piggy that "was" my second toe had to be amputated... this lil piggy cried all the way home...

(ROUND 3)

While they're examining my foot, they discovered a completely blocked artery in the same leg... I'm now like what is going on? They order immediate surgery on my leg... the most painful experience I've ever had... an incision from my thigh to my ankle... I am still like alright I got this!... not what I expected AT ALL. I had already been in the hospital 7 days and y'all that know me, that's 7 days too long... get the surgery and I had NO idea it would take 38 days in the hospital to recover... I make it home the day before Thanksgiving....

(ROUND 4 - Nearly the knockout blow)

A week later Brandi broke up with m after 9 years... it's something I'm still dealing with... Please respect our privacy regarding this, ty...

I'm still thinking I GOT THIS, SO rehabbing at home, kicking it in the butt!... realizing I've been out of work since JUNE 7 and we are now in December... I had to put a serious hurting on the credit cards, taking them to the max... never in my life had I had to do that.

I'm making progress like a champ when, you guessed it...

(ROUND 5)...

An infection... back in the hospital for more work on my leg... what was supposed to be an outpatient procedure turns into another 3 weeks.

I'm beat down, losing weight, can't train... AGAIN... and back in the hospital... made it home the day before Thanksgiving so grateful the enjoyment was short-lived.

(ROUND 6)

One more surgery requiring a skin graft the size of my palm puts me into the hospital again, stranding me there through Christmas and New Year's... finally got out on Jan 7th... 78 days in the hospital and in a rehab facility since September 26th... Still can't work and the savings are being gobbled up.

I finally get home, but everything is upside down in my life... I am blessed to be alive but between all that's going on I still can't work (7 months now). I don't want a ROUND 7. Whatever that might mean.

I need you, my glorious people, to help contribute to my GoFundMe.

I am going to have to move and get an apartment with all the fees and charges.

Rent, utilities, deposits... then a bed and some furniture. Plus the move... I am praying that I'll be cleared for work in about 6 weeks and I can start earning so one day I can pay it forward and help someone.

If everybody gives a little, then it means a lot. These are critical times for Big Los (no longer Big, down from 240lbs to 204lbs and barely recognizable)... I'll be adding some pics and it could be 0 to see me.

So I just need a hand up... not a handout. Help me meet and shatter my goal. Maybe I can replace my car... get those bills paid, get rehabbed, and get back on the road to a full recovery. (Drs say 6-8 weeks)... so please spread the word and be heard... help me do this... individuals, businesses, companies, any collective groups... I have faith in y'all... Amen and God bless...

My goal is $5000... I'm hoping and praying we can smash that goal so I can fully restore the life I had.
