Help Carlos Mesa's Recovery Journey
Tax deductible
On March 28th, Carlos Mesa age 24 was out with friends. He was approached by someone he knew and there was a confrontation. The aggressor beat Carlos and left him unconscious and stole his sneakers. Thank goodness a good Samaritan called 911 or Carlos would have died.
He was rushed to the hospital, intubated and eventually underwent surgery where a part of his skull was removed to reduce the swelling on his brain. Days later he was removed from the ventilator and had a tracheotomy to allow him to breath. He remained in critical condition until April 2nd.
After several surgeries, he was released to rehab on April 16th and he continues to receive therapies to help him to walk, talk and relearn the functions needed for daily life. As of April 22nd, the piece of his skull is still missing and needs to be reattached at a later date by the Neurosurgeon.
As you can imagine this has been devastating for his family both emotionally and financially as his parents have been by his side and unable to work for nearly a month.
Carlos' Father Diosvany works at Doctors Health Care Plan. Mother Cynthia is a longtime teacher at Kids For Kids Academy preschool.
Carlos and the Mesa Family have a long road ahead. If everyone who reads this post donates just $10 and shares the post asking their friends and family to do the same, you can help meet the goal of $10,000 to help this deserving family through this horrible nightmare.
Carlos is a caring and gentle young man with his whole life ahead of him. Please help.
Please note this fundraiser is administered by Kids 4 Kids Inc. a non-profit organization so donations are tax deductible. Please note that Kids 4 Kids will be displayed on your receipt. 100% of monies raised will be given to the Mesa Family.
