I have been living with chronic kidney failure, and after years of doing home dialysis 5 times a week, I am finally preparing for a kidney transplant that will give me a second chance at life.

While the transplant is a blessing, it also comes with a difficult reality:

I will not be able to work for a long period of time during my recovery, which means I will have no income.

On top of that, I will face medical expenses, immunosuppressant medications, frequent doctor visits, transportation costs, and all the basic needs required during the healing process.
