Help Carlos get to UC San Diego

Hi everyone! My name is Carlos Ponce and I am hoping to attend the University of California San Diego starting in a few weeks, but my family and I are unable to pay for it ourselves. After graduating from Oakland Technical High School with a 4.0 I was confident in my ability to succeed at one of the top colleges in the U.S. but the cost of attendance is putting my future there at risk.
Both of my parents work hard to provide for me and my 5 siblings, but this is an extreme financial hardship for them. Even with the financial aid being provided by the school we would not be able to afford sending me to college. As the 2nd oldest, and a first generation college student, it is important to me that I go to college to set a good example for my siblings and other kids like me.
If I am able to attend UCSD I will be majoring in Structural Engineering and hope to become a civil engineer. Math and science have always been my best subjects in school and I am excited to continue my education in these subjects. The money donated will be used to pay for my tuition, housing, and other registration fees that my financial aid package is unable to cover.

Hola! Mi nombre is Carlos Ponce, deseo atender la Universidad de California, San Diego en donde mis clases empezarían en unas cuantas semanas. Pero me encontré con un gran problema, no tenemos suficiente dinero para poder pagar por mi primer año de educación en esta institución. Después de graduarme de la Oakland Technical High School con un GPA de 4.0, tenía confianza en mi capacidad para salir adelante en una de las mejores universidades del país, pero el dinero se a puesto en el camino de mi futuro.
Mis padres siempre han trabajado muy duro para que yo y mis 5 hermanxs salgan adelante pero esto sería demasiado dinero que ellos no pudieran pagar. También recibí ayuda financiera del gobierno pero ese dinero solamente cubre 2/3 de lo que necesito. Como uno de los mayores entre mis hermanxs, esto es muy importante para ser un buen ejemplo para ellos y otros niños como yo.
Si podría quedarme en UCSD, empezaría mi educación de ingeniería estructural para poder obtener una carrera de ingeniero civil en el futuro. El dinero recibido aquí sería usado para cubrir partes que my paquete de ayuda financiera no cubriera.
