Help Carlos Fight Barth Syndrome – A Rare Genetic Heart Condition

Hi, my name is Carlos Thomas, Sr., and I am the father of Carlos Aundreek Prescott-Thomas, lovingly known as Baby Los. Hw was diagnosed with Barth Syndrome, a rare and life-threatening genetic disorder that affects the heart muscles, immune system, and energy production. This condition, which impacts only 1 in 300,000 births, attacking the heart, immune system and energy production.

Since June 19, 2025, I've been by Baby Los' side full time at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina, as we fight for his life. Every day is a battle, but thanks to the dedication of his medical team and a carefully designed nutrition plan, Baby Los is showing strength and resilience beyond measure.
