Support Carlos’ Healing Journey Through Diving

Hi! My name is Jhennifer and I've been a dear friend of Carlos's for the last 8 years. Carlos is one of the most caring, hardworking, and inspiring people I know. He’s a dedicated biology student and immigrant who has overcome incredible challenges with strength, humility, and kindness. After being struck by a vehicle in a serious accident that tore his hip cartilage and damaged his femur, Carlos faced a long and painful recovery.

Through it all, he never lost his optimism or generosity. He continues to pour his heart into helping others, volunteering in the community, and showing love and care to everyone around him — including my kids, who adore him like family.

In the midst of his healing journey, Carlos discovered scuba diving. What began as a way to ease his physical pain became a source of peace, passion, and purpose. Diving has reconnected him to his love of marine life and deepened his commitment to studying biology and ocean conservation.

Unfortunately, between medical bills, tuition, and daily expenses, affording his own scuba gear has been difficult. This GoFundMe is my birthday gift to him — a small way to give back to someone who’s given so much to others.
