I’m Carlos, and I’m asking for help during one of the hardest seasons of my life. I had to shut down my home near Nashville, leave my job, and move to Covington so I could care for my mom, who is living with dementia. I left not knowing how long I would be here or how much this would change my life, but I knew my mom needed me. Before I left, I paid up my bills and exhausted my savings, and now I’m trying to hold everything together while working a lower-paying job here. The emotional and financial weight of caring for my mom while also trying to figure out my own future has been overwhelming.
The funds from this fundraiser will help with the things we urgently need right now. Most importantly, I need to install a walk-in shower for my mom because her mobility issues make it very hard for me to bathe and care for her safely. This would make a huge difference in her comfort and daily care. I also need help moving my belongings from Nashville to Covington, because I do not think I will be able to return. On top of that, any support will help me cover basic living expenses while I adjust to this new reality and continue doing my best for my mom. Please consider helping if you can. Any donation, share, or kind word would mean so much to us. Thank you for reading and for keeping us in your thoughts.
