Hi, everyone. My name is Frankie & I’m trying to raise funds for my long-distance partner, Carlin Darty, who needs community support to weather a personal crisis and stay housed.

Since becoming unemployed in August, Carlin has been searching for suitable work that accommodates their disabilities to no avail. As a result, they're at risk of losing their apartment and their two dogs, Valerie and Stella. After barely cobbling together enough for December rent & again for January, they’re struggling with February’s to cover utilities, and pay for other necessities for their dogs and themself.

After months of searching for rental and bill assistance, Carlin has turned up nothing, risking their ability to make rent by the month. They continue to narrowly avoid eviction notices. They are also at risk of having their phone and internet services disconnected, which will impede their job search. They're facing homelessness the longer their situation remains this precarious.

In a last ditch effort to keep them housed, I humbly ask and appreciate any amount you could contribute towards the $3,600 they need to stay afloat as they continue looking for work. This amount would cover rent, utilities, car payment, pet care needs, and other necessities for February onwards until they’re caught up.

Carlin has been through hell and back, and I consider them my chosen family. They've had my back, and would have yours, too, because they believe in the dignity of everyone just trying to make it. I love their selflessness, and how they see beauty in the world, and the solidarity they show for people who look like me and anyone else who is struggling with injustice. We need community now more than ever in these uncertain times, and that to me begins with the one who has my heart. Thank you all for reading.
