My name is Carley, and I’m reaching out during the most difficult time of my life. After a slip and fall that left me with a concussion, I was taken to Grossmont Hospital for a CT scan. During the scan, contrast was injected into my arm incorrectly, which caused compartment syndrome almost instantly. Unfortunately, the hospital did not act quickly enough, and the muscle in my arm died. Now, I am facing the reality of having my arm amputated.
This experience has been terrifying and overwhelming. I’ve been away from home and unable to work for a while now, and the fear of losing my place to live on top of everything else is almost too much to bear. The mounting medical bills and uncertainty about the future have made this time even more challenging.
I am asking for help to cover my rent and medical expenses while I recover from surgery and try to rebuild my life. If you’re able to donate or even just share this fundraiser, please know it truly makes a difference. Your support helps me focus on healing instead of fear. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any kindness you can offer.
