Help Carley, Morgan, and our pets with Urgent Medical Needs

Hi Friends and Family,

We have created this page (updated 10/25/2025) because we are in need of financial assistance for medical bills and more. If you have read this before, please reread as circumstances have changed, and not for the better. This is difficult to write, and difficult to request assistance. Below is a background of our current circumstances, and I will post a more detailed update about Morgan's current status and direct medical needs.

My partner, Morgan, suffers from polycystic kidney disease, resulting in end stage renal failure, which also requires dialysis 3x/week and he suffers from cardiac challenges. He had a faulty heart valve replaced a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, we are currently in the hospital again as the replacement heart valve has failed, and Morgan is facing open heart surgery again to replace this valve. This will be happening soon, one month before my hip surgery. As you can imagine, this is taxing on us in various ways.

Over the past year, we have endured multiple ER visits (both of us). Morgan has landed in the ER too many times to count and was often taken to the ICU in St. George by ambulance or helicopter. Since moving to Florida, there is closer access to care. His ongoing conditions require a lot of follow-ups, a lot of pain, and a lot of expenses.

As most of you know, I have struggled with medical challenges for several years. I have had 5+ surgeries in the past 8 years, numerous specialty visits, and so much more. I have been open about my incurable endometriosis at stage 4, pelvic floor dysfunction, and more. Coming up for me is a double hip replacement now, and I have been on crutches since January. This is not a typical replacement; instead, the ball joint that connects to one's hip is not receiving blood flow and is decaying (avascular necrosis, due to being an athlete and overworking my body in animal welfare). This is also incurable, and surgery is very close as well as extremely critical to get it done now. We will begin with one side, and then the other side as I can fit into my work schedule.

On top of all of this, both Charlie (our dog) and Cochi (our cat), have developed serious health issues. Charlie (about 8 years old) has aggressive cancer that has metastasized all over his body. We have been trying to save money to get him the care he needs, already resulting in lots of medical bills, with more to come. This is my velcro dog who has been with me and helped me through some of the most challenging times of my life. Cochi is now about 14 years old and needs a thorough senior workup. She either has something wrong with her kidneys or thyroid, or both. While both of our pets continue to thrive, their underlying health conditions are very serious, and very expensive.

It is difficult to reach out for help, but we need you. We have medical bills, animals due for vet visits, and still catching up after relocating across the country. We know that everyone is struggling, and we are here for you too in any way we can be. If there is any amount you can donate to our wellbeing, we will be forever grateful.

All funds and future funds have been used for medical emergencies and will continue to be used in this way.
