My name is Nicole and I have known Carlee and Mary Jo since I was 13 years old. Carlee recently lost her beloved mother, Mary Jo, to cancer while battling breast cancer herself. Carlee is a newlywed and instead of taking a honeymoon, she underwent a double mastectomy at just 33 years old. She recently landed her dream job as a teacher in the midst of numerous health issues for not only herself, but her mother’s lost battle to cancer.

Mary Jo was a force to be reckoned with and passed her strong will, strength, and infectious laugh on to Carlee and her grandchildren. Carlee was able to fly out to be with her mom to say goodbye as she started her journey in Heaven.

If you know Carlee, you know she would drop anything and everything to help someone in need while putting her needs on the back burner. The tragedy of her own cancer diagnosis has caused hardship on her family, financial loss as she has had to take time away from her career to properly heal, and now her mother’s passing.
