Help Carlee focus on her recovery and not bills.

I don’t ask for help and I prefer to be the one helping, but sadly: On behalf of the Boyer family, we are raising money for Carlee as she recovers from having one of her kidneys removed this week. She is looking at a 6-8week recovery.

Carlee’s backstory: Carlee was unable to finish Naval boot camp and came home to attend nursing school at the University of Akron. She worked hard but had been plagued with sickness and fatigue. Through the help of a family member, she was able to get in to see the right specialist at the Cleveland Clinic. A rapid growth mass was discovered on one of her kidneys, and the decision was made to have it removed immediately. The doctor was certain it was cancerous. Carlee is my niece and my younger brother, Craig (Craigie/Junior), firstborn child. He sadly passed away at the age of 33 from squamous cell carcinoma, which makes this diagnosis that much harder to deal with. Since my brother’s passing, his wife Christa has lived every moment for loving, caring, and protecting their three children. Life has not always been easy, but love usually prevailed.

Carlee is one of the genuine “good ones” and embodies a lot of the same characteristics as my brother. This child is starting her life out, and at 21, we are hoping she can focus on recovering and getting healthy instead of bills, tuition, and the repo man. Please help with what you can.
