My name is Marco, and my wife Carla and I have three boys.

Carla collapsed and became unresponsive. She was struggling to breathe, and her lips began turning blue. The local hospital ambulance arrived on time to stabilize her. At the hospital, I learned that a cluster of arteries blasted blood into the back of her brain, the cerebellum area, where the brain fluid is.

Carla needed to be moved to a hospital farther away.

Currently, she is in the ICU, unresponsive, with a breathing and feeding tube via the throat. While the cluster is not bleeding, the remaining blood has clotted, preventing her brain fluid from flowing normally. They started a brain-fluid drainage process that also drains the remaining blood from the back of the head. The remaining blood clot will take a while to dissolve and drain completely, as there is a large amount of blood left over. She is not eligible for an operation to remove the blood clot because it’s too dangerous.

The clot is currently creating pressure and affecting her consciousness and motor skills. The doctor says he does not know when Carla will wake up.

They are planning to do a tracheotomy to place a breathing tube below her vocal cords and place a feeding tube in her stomach until she wakes up and recovers.

She has been in the hospital for over a week and is still unresponsive. We do not have insurance, and I have been struggling to get a job programming, because of this, my income is in the red. We cannot pay for all the procedures and operations.
