My sweet cat Carl suddenly got very sick this weekend and had to be rushed to the hospital. He was in rough shape when we got there and needed a blood transfusion, which helped stabilize him, but he’s still not out of the woods. His care is urgent and the bills are very quickly mounting as the veterinarians have been working to find out what caused his illness. Carl has been in the hospital since Tuesday, and every day is bringing new challenges and expenses.

Carl is more than a pet to me, he’s family. He has been my constant companion through everything, especially during a very hard year last year. His silliness, arm hugs/snuggles, and unconditional love (and early wake-up calls for breakfast) have helped me through some of my toughest days. I want to do everything possible to help him pull through this emergency, and I’m reaching out for help so he can get the care he needs. ❤️‍
