Help Carl & Andrea with Medical Expenses & Care

Hello everyone. Carl is proud to have been an Equity Stage Manager for 25 years before the pandemic. Then in January of 2021, in the middle of an already challenging shutdown, Carl suffered a stroke. Unfortunately, he has not yet recovered the use of his legs or his left arm, and he has experienced other serious health complications along the way. Thankfully he is stable now, and home...but he still needs a lot of care.

Carl’s wife Andrea is also in the Arts as a musician. Needless to say, this has been a very tough couple of years for them. Carl has needed a variety of types of care and supplies, some of which have not been covered by their current insurance company. The bills are starting to mount up.

We are hopeful the exhaustive efforts Andrea has put in to solve the insurance situation, will come to fruition next year. That said, money from this fundraiser will be immensely appreciated. This short-term goal of $5,000 will go toward things like the bill from transporting Carl home from the hospital, the monthly rental of the hospital bed, air mattress & chair lift in their home, and possibly home health care & therapies.

If we are so fortunate to meet that goal, I would like to increase the target to a significantly higher amount, for a more long-term objective of helping them with a down payment on a handicap-accessible vehicle and other potentially needed modifications to their home, and of course continued care.
