Help Cariad’s Dream Come True: A Magical Journey to Disney World

Cariad is a bright young woman with a love for all things Disney. She has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1, a condition that requires her to rely on a bi-pap ventilator and restricts her ability to travel by air. Despite these challenges, Cariad has a once-in-a-lifetime dream: to visit Walt Disney World in 2025.

To make this dream a reality, we’re planning an incredible journey by sea to get Cariad to Florida. However, we would love her dedicated nursing team to join her. While they can fly, we have to ensure they can stay in Florida to provide care for Cariad throughout the trip. We plan to bring 4 nurses (one each week ), covering their travel and accommodations so they can be part of this magical experience.

Thank you to everyone that has helped up meet our initial target of £3,600, which will be used to purchase flights for Cariads carers. The next target is to fund their accomodation near to Cariad - a further £5,000!

Who am I?: I am Cariads' dad, Jez. My role is to give her the best life she can possibly have! I am also a trustee for the Cariad Rose Trust - who will be handling the funds as per the stated aims (and provide checks and balances)

What are we spending the money on?: The initial target is to buy flight tickets for the carers to come and participate in Cariads holiday in Florida. Beyond that, it is for their accomodation. Finally, anything left over will be for Cariad. NB - We are paying for our own holiday (including Cariad)
