Help Carena Heal

Aloha to all,

As you know Carena has not been feeling well and had to take a risk leaving her family and home on the island of Hawaii to seek better care. She left everything behind, her partner, our pet Alfi, her friends, and her job. She had to place everything on hold canceling photo shoots, art shows, art workshops, and her art exhibition "Blueprints Of The Sea' which she worked so hard on, so she can get better. She has been diagnosed with anemia and has been undergoing Iron Infusion Therapy for the last two months. She's also had endoscopy surgery done which showed signs of Hiatal Hernia. She is also meeting with specialists, dietitians, pulmonologists, physical therapists, and going to voice therapy to find out what is causing her all this pain. She is feeling better but is not yet ready or feeling safe to jump on a 6-hour flight to come home. Doctors still want to see her back in a couple of weeks to see how she is progressing. She has been so strong throughout this process and I am so proud of her. She hasn't had the energy to do the littlest of tasks and gets fatigued when trying. She has been raising money by taking as many photo shoots in California all while feeling ill. Her mom has been such a huge supporter and has been such a positive influence on her. Her mom has been by her side the entire time, driving her to and from appointments, waiting at hospitals, sitting next to her while getting infusion treatments, and praying for her health every day. We're praying she gets better soon and feels well to come home to us all.
