Medical Housing for Josh
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Brenda Persall and I am Josh's aunt.
Josh, 31 years old, was recently a victim of a hit and run incident on November 17th. He suffered a subdural hematoma which has caused brain trauma, fractured facial bones, crushed pelvis along with other abrasions and internal bruising. He has been in critical care for over a month. He was flown to a trauma hospital 3 hours away and recently transported closer to home. His mother and sister have been by his side at the hospital as much as possible.
News was just recieved that he will be released on Wednesday. Josh will need 24 hour care as he has a trachiotamy, feeding tube and is bed ridden at this time. Josh will be transported to his sister Lisa's home and cared for by her with the help of his mother. Lisa will be quitting her job to be his full-time caregiver. Lisa is a licensed Medical Assistant and will be able to give him the best care possible. At the moment she has a two bedroom home for her and her 4 children.
I am hoping to raise enough money to help her get into a bigger home with more bedrooms to accommodate Josh and his needs.
As we all know the cost of moving is currently at an all time high. She will have to pay first and last months rent and a deposit as well as UHaul rental. Lisa has not asked for help, but I know this will be a great hardship for her. The timing is not ideal with the Holidays in a few days. However, this is an unfortunate unexpected tragedy that has happened to Josh.
I am asking you from the bottom of my heart if you can help in any way to bless this family your generosity will be greatly appreciated. If you are not comfortable donating here you can message me for alternative options. One last request is that you pray for Josh's full recovery and strength for his family. We are hoping and praying that he will fully recover. We know that with Brain injuries it may take some time and a lot of hard work, but the doctors have been optimistic and hopeful.
With God's help anything is possible.
Please share this and help Josh be cared for. Thank you in advance.
Blessings to you and yours.
Sincerely, Aunt Brenda ❤️ #TeamJosh
