I am reaching out to friends, family and anyone who may be able to help my family by supporting my dad, Charlie. On March 5th 2020, my father was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's/dementia at the young age of 57. He has not been able to work and does not yet qualify for any financial assistance from the government due to his age. As a result of the extremely fast progression of this disease, his wonderful wife Alma has also had to stop working in order to take care of him on a day to day basis. I am a full time student and my sister is supporting and raising a family out of state which leaves them with no income to cover bills anymore. Between doctor appointments, testing, medications, bills and cost of living, we are struggling to stay afloat while learning how to deal with the recent diagnosis. We are hoping in the next coming years we will be able to get support through disability, social security or any other financial aid he may qualify for but in the meantime, our struggles have become a big issue and we need help. Please help us fight the new battle that has come with this awful disease. Anything at all helps and even if all you can provide is just some advice on dealing with Dementia/Alzheimers, that is something. Thank you and god bless.
