Help care for an abandoned Kitty

Donation protected
Meow muggles,

Look who made it to the Vet! Me. Oliver.

I have taken my time to build my trust with the person who feeds me and brushes my coat keeping me nice and clean. I think it's safe to say that I am quite at home with her now.

I mean, she gives me free food, free treats and helps to keep my gorgeous coat clean. Sometimes, she even plays with me to keep me stimulated. Although, I don't think her cats are too pleased to see that. They also hate to see me occupying the garden in the mornings. Can't imagine what their problem is. They really should get over themselves. A cats life isn't easy you know.

According to the lovely vet at Scott and Lyndon Vets in Birmingham I am somewhere between 11 months to 1 years old now. Which means i have been out by myself for almost 4 months now.

I could be a little over 1 years old as I am growing into a big cat but I think that's down to the six pouches of food that I muzzle down in a day. Honestly the free food *almost* compensates for the lack of a warm home and loving owner.

The vet called me handsome. That really made me loaf my little heart out! I don't think anyone has ever said that to me before. She is right though. I am a very handsome cat. #PussInBootWho?

You'll be pleased to know that I received a jab to help heal my injured paw as well as a free consultation covered by the RSPCA. The vet says I am healthy now but I seem anxious as I have not found my furever home. She could tell how anxious I have become from my overly sweaty paws. I calmed down when she soothed me though. I felt safe indoors. That was a nice feeling.

I still need neutering to prevent disease and cat fights (us cats are far too territorial when we haven't been spayed or neutered). This will cost a total of £100.00. My immunity building jabs and flea and worm treatment will cost £95.00. So far we have managed to raise almost enough to reach the halfway mark. Please continue to donate. However small the contribution it all adds up.

There is some promising news too! My feeder has found an adoptive carer who is willing to take me in over the winter period. They will care for me while I recover from being neutered once I have had the operation. This usually takes 10-14 days. They're unable to keep me indefinitely or to cover the costs of my initial treatments but promise shelter and food and water over the winter.

Cat protection and the RSPCA will not be taking me in as I am not at immediate risk. Plus, they have no space. After being abandoned over the summer by my previous owners I am seeking a loving furever home. I'm lucky to have an adoptive carer but I know my stay will be short lived...

I am ever so grateful for all of your kind contributions! It takes me closer to receiving my jabs before the winter kicks my furry butt in. Cat flu is worse than human flu. Take it from me.

Please share this link with friends and family to help raise the required funds to get me the full medical care that I so desperately need before winter.

My injured paw is all better now and I will be going to an adoptive home soon I hope. It's pretty cold out here so please think of me as I plod along one paw in front of the other.

Meow for now! Oh, and ask your mates if they're up for a loving pet. I pay rent in cuddles, character, warmth and playful joy. I bet I'd be your best house mate yet.

Signing out for now,

Oliver Meow Twist
